Competition – WIN a copy of A Million Ways To Die In The West

In an exciting collaboration, Ginger and Nuts have teamed up with Fabulous Films to offer two lucky listeners a chance to win their own copy of the hit movie “A Million Ways to Die in the West”, released on 12 February 2024. Winners will choose between the DVD version, valued at £14.99, or the high-quality Blu-Ray edition, priced at £19.99.

Directed by the Emmy Award-winning creator of Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, “A Million Ways to Die in the West” guarantees a wild and hilarious ride. MacFarlane, alongside his talented collaborators Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, crafted a story that will leave you in stitches. The film boasts an incredible ensemble cast, including MacFarlane himself, alongside Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Neil Patrick Harris, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman, and a special appearance by Liam Neeson. Keep an eye out for surprise cameos from Ewan McGregor and Ryan Reynolds too!

Seth MacFarlane, a true multi-talented force in the entertainment industry, has accumulated a staggering net worth of $300 million. At just 24, MacFarlane became the youngest showrunner ever when “Family Guy” hit the small screen in 1999. With an impressive five Emmy wins for his voice-over work on the show, MacFarlane holds the record alongside the legendary David Attenborough.

What inspired MacFarlane to create this uproarious film? Look no further than Mel Brooks’ classic comedy “Blazing Saddles”. Drawing on the spirit of Brooks’ masterpiece, MacFarlane delved into the dusty pages of Jeff Guinn’s book, “The Last Gunfight: The Real Story of the Shootout at the O.K. Corral — And How It Changed the American West”. From there, MacFarlane weaved together a narrative that captured the essence of the Wild West, complete with nine different ways to meet your demise.

MacFarlane’s creativity knows no bounds. While filming “A Million Ways to Die in the West” in New Mexico, he wrote a novel based on the screenplay during his spare time. “The book was partially something to do on the weekends because there’s nothing to do in Santa Fe except meth, and I am too afraid to do meth,” he humorously noted.

Not to be outdone, the talented Liam Neeson, hailing from Northern Ireland, had one requirement before accepting the role of the film’s villain. Neeson insisted that his character possesses a broad Irish accent, a playful nod to a memorable Family Guy joke where Peter Griffin, voiced by MacFarlane, jokingly pokes fun at Neeson’s attempt at playing an American cowboy.
