Thousands of people are searching online for ways to stop their partners from farting in their sleep, according to a recent study. Researchers found that a staggering 235,000 people are kept awake by a bedmate letting rip at night, resulting in nearly 20,000 people a month, or 4,500 a week, suffering from sleepless nights.
Many are turning to natural remedies and ways to control unwanted flatulence, with the VELUX study revealing that over 7% of respondents had even ended a relationship with a loved one due to sleeping issues caused by their partner’s nocturnal emissions.
