Ginger and Nuts’ music expert Diana Cavazos Woloszyk praised Reeve Stimpson’s latest single “One Night Stand” as a “great, great gem” that she recently discovered.

Diana, who is based in Chicago, USA, says she came across a short music video of Stimpson that immediately grabbed her attention. “It looked like a scene taken from the 80s Tom Cruise movie All the Right Moves, with Stimpson singing and dancing with a broom in his underwear and socks,” she describes.

Intrigued, Diana looked up Stimpson and listened to the full song, and was thrilled to have discovered the up-and-coming talent. “I was so, so happy to have found another gem of a talent,” she gushes.

Reeve Stimpson was born in Virginia and is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. He moved to Music City in 2016 to pursue a degree in songwriting at Belmont University, where he was awarded the 2019 BMI Songwriting Scholarship.

Diana notes that Reeve’s sound is heavily influenced by 80s music and movies, thanks to his parents’ and grandparents’ love for the era. “Plus it’s kind of helped that his grandparents owned a record store. So I’m pretty sure he had a full reign of everything in music to get him inspired,” she says.

Reeve is releasing a new song each month leading up to his album release later this year, with “One Night Stand” being his fourth single so far. Diana describes the track as a “fun summer hit song” that blends pop-rock with a country Keith Urban feel, creating “a perfect mix.”

“I honestly can say that I am so excited and happy to see many up-and-coming artists having this 80s inspiration to not only fill the hearts of us Gen Xers but also to give this generation that same inspiration to enjoy what I grew up with,” Diana enthuses. “We truly had the best legends of music from the 70s and 80s.”

Fans can check out Reeve Stimpson’s music videos, especially the cute visuals for “One Night Stand,” on his YouTube channel. Diana encourages everyone to follow Stimpson on social media and download his music on all digital platforms to support this rising star.
