Jon Brooks: The Man Behind the Music — and the Mindset

It was a lively afternoon on the Ginger and Nuts Show as the UK’s very own music composer and producer Jon Brooks joined the duo for a heartfelt chat — alongside Chicago-based music expert Diana Cavazos Woloszyk — to talk about his creative journey, artistic alter ego, and the release of his latest single, Unstoppable.

From the moment he appeared on air, Brooks’ humility and passion for music were unmistakable. “I am Jon Brooks, and TrackSonix is my pseudonym artist name,” he explained with a smile. “I was born in 1980, but TrackSonix was born in 2015. It started as my music library catalogue for film, TV and advertising, but it’s now become my personal outlet.”

A Journey Through Collaboration and Creativity

Brooks’ career has been rich with memorable collaborations, including his work with Clive Farrington of When in Romeon the 2013 album Independence, and more recently with Malissa Whitehouse on her emotive single Over a Lifetime.

“I absolutely loved working with both of them,” Brooks recalled warmly. “Clive was the first artist I worked with when I opened my recording studio. He literally turned up at the door while it was still being built! Working with Malissa was also a dream — her voice, her lyrics, her presence — it was magical.”

For Brooks, collaboration is where creativity truly thrives. “Working with others is really where the magic is,” he said.

Finding Strength and Becoming ‘Unstoppable’

His latest single, Unstoppable, captures a deeply personal message of resilience and rebirth. “For me, it was a sink-or-swim moment,” he shared. “It wasn’t the music that kept me going — it was love. Love of family and friends. Seeing their resilience inspired me. I’m in a great place now, much better than ever before.”

Brooks hopes his music will inspire listeners to face their fears and push beyond self-imposed limits. “It’s an inspiring journey,” he said. “About conquering fears, looking within, and reprogramming the subconscious mind — not letting perceived limitations hold you back.”

Music expert Diana Cavazos Woloszyk praised his message, calling his reflections “perfectly said” — and a testament to the healing power of art.

The Future of Music: Embracing AI

Brooks also revealed that Unstoppable marks a new chapter in his creative process — one that involves the use of artificial intelligence as a songwriting partner.

“Two years ago, I tried working with AI and wasn’t impressed,” he admitted. “But early this year, I experimented again and was blown away. Now, I use AI as a co-writer. It helps me refine lyrics and unlock creative blocks.”

While some musicians resist the rise of AI, Brooks welcomes it as part of music’s natural evolution. “I refuse to be left behind with technology,” he said firmly. “Years ago, we moved from outboard mixing desks to digital — things progress. AI has given me more confidence, and it’s become a vehicle for expressing emotion.”

Diana agreed, encouraging audiences to stay open-minded. “You have to open your mind and heart,” she said. “This is a new technology, yes, but it’s something to embrace — not fear.”

‘Unstoppable’: A Statement of Resilience

Closing the conversation, Brooks reflected on why Unstoppable became both the opening track and emotional cornerstone of his new album. “It was the first song I wrote,” he explained. “I felt ready — ready to rise above fear and reclaim my strength. It’s about courage, resilience, and self-belief.”

With his passion, humility, and forward-thinking approach, Jon Brooks proves that both he — and his music — truly are Unstoppable.
