Diana dives into the world of this Canadian rock band, shedding light on their journey since forming in 1981 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. With a lineup featuring Johnnie Dee on vocals and guitar, Derry Grehan on lead guitar and songwriting, Dave Betts on drums, Gary Lalonde on bass guitar, and Peter Nunn on keyboards, Honeymoon Suite has captivated fans with their music for decades.

Their self-titled debut album in 1984 showcased their talent with chart-topping hits in Canada, including the breakout success “New Girl Now,” which made waves in the US. Subsequent albums in the 80s brought even more hits like “Bad Attitude” and “What Does It Take,” featured in iconic shows and movies like Miami Vice and Lethal Weapon.

Despite setbacks like a cancelled appearance at the Rockingham Festival in 2017, Honeymoon Suite persists, releasing a new studio album titled “Alive” in 2023. The single “Hope What You’re Looking For” boasts powerful vocals, memorable guitar riffs, and an infectious chorus that harkens back to the band’s melodic rock roots.

Diana recalls her own experience witnessing the band perform live, reminiscing about the magic of their music that has endured over the years. As fans eagerly await the release of the new album, Honeymoon Suite’s legacy in the world of rock music continues to resonate with audiences old and new.
