play_arrowReview – Kevin Jonas Ginger and Nuts
Best known nationally as one-third of the chart-topping Jonas Brothers, Kevin Jonas has long been a steady presence in the background. With Changing, released in November, he steps confidently into the spotlight with his first-ever solo single—an intimate and emotionally layered debut that signals both personal and artistic growth.
Woloszyk describes the track as “intricate and emotionally rich,” praising Jonas’ unexpectedly delicate falsetto, which adds vulnerability and depth to the song. “It’s the kind of performance that surprises you,” she noted, particularly for those who only know him within the context of the band.
The song’s first live performance came as a surprise last August at Fenway Park in Boston, during the Jonas Brothers’ hometown tour. Jonas debuted Changing in front of thousands of fans, with his wife and daughters watching proudly from the crowd—an emotional moment Woloszyk calls “a clear turning point, not just in performance, but in purpose.”
Perhaps most striking is Woloszyk’s own journey with the music. Admitting she was never a devoted Jonas Brothers fan, her perspective shifted after attending their concert at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, in December. Accompanying her best friend’s daughter to her very first concert—complete with a VIP experience—she found the night “nothing short of magical.”
“One of the most unforgettable moments,” Woloszyk said, “was witnessing Kevin Jonas perform Changing live, standing alone on stage and sharing something so personal.” The performance, she explained, gave her a renewed appreciation for Jonas as a standalone artist.
At its core, Changing is a song about growth, evolution, and stepping fully into who you’re meant to be—a message that resonates far beyond the stage. Woloszyk believes the track deserves a place on any playlist and encourages listeners to follow Kevin Jonas across social platforms and give his debut the attention it deserves.
With Changing, Kevin Jonas isn’t just stepping out on his own—he’s inviting listeners to grow along with him.
