Speaking on the Ginger and Nuts Show, Cavazos Woloszyk unveiled her Single of the Week—and her first pick of the new year –“Body Down” by Stanley Simmons.

“It felt especially fitting,” Cavazos Woloszyk told hosts, explaining her choice. “I’m closing out the year of 2025 and bringing in the new year with something that connects rock legacy with something fresh.”

That legacy is unmistakable. Body Down is the debut single from Stanley Simmons, featuring Evan Stanley, son of Paul Stanley, and Nick Simmons, son of Gene Simmons—founding members of the iconic rock band KISS. Raised together and immersed in music from an early age, Evan and Nick’s collaboration seemed inevitable. According to Cavazos Woloszyk, the result exceeds expectations.

Released on December 5, Body Down is, in her words, “pure nostalgic classic rock heaven.” She praised the song’s seamless harmonies, tightly synchronized instrumentation, and deliberate layering, calling it “absolutely headphone worthy.”

From a flowing percussion solo that eases into confident guitar work, the track carries listeners along with warmth and precision. Cavazos Woloszyk noted a distinct Crosby, Stills & Nash influence—retro in spirit, yet modern in execution—giving the song a timeless quality while still sounding fresh and current.

Beyond the music itself, she highlighted the band’s strong connection with fans. Stanley Simmons are active across digital platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, where they regularly host live streams and engage directly with listeners. “If you catch them live,” she said, “why not jump in and ask about their music or their history?”

As the segment wrapped up, Cavazos Woloszyk summed up her choice with enthusiasm and optimism. Body Down, she said, is “the perfect way to close out the year—with legacy, harmony, and a sound that reminds us why we fell in love with rock music in the first place.”

With a smile, she offered her final introduction: “Happy 2026 to everybody. This is Body Down by Stanley Simmons, right here on Ginger Nuts.”

For rock fans old and new, the message was clear—the future of classic rock may already be here.
