With undeniable energy, Diana described the song as one she couldn’t stop playing on repeat, calling it an “instant add to your playlist.”

Hailing from Liverpool, The Last Arcade—comprised of Paul Garrett, Steve Erickson, and Steve McNally—delivers yet another synth-pop gem steeped in ‘80s nostalgia. Diana likened the addictive groove and soaring melodies to the kind of track that hooks you by the third listen, with lyrics that beg to be sung aloud.

Diana, who previously spotlighted the band in August 2024 during their collaboration with British pop trio BBMak on “Collide,” noted the emotional resonance of their music. That track, she shared, held personal significance and took her months before she could listen to it again after hearing it live—a moment that brought deep personal meaning.

“Looking For Love” isn’t just a standout track musically. The production brings in some powerhouse collaborators: a searing saxophone solo by the band’s longtime associate Mike Smith, and a dynamic lead guitar feature by Stevie Burke, known for his work on The Last Arcade’s debut album. Diana emphasised the band’s knack for surrounding themselves with top-tier talent, creating a sound that continues to evolve while staying true to their signature retro-pop roots.

Adding to the buzz, The Last Arcade recently released a visually striking AI-generated music video for “Looking For Love,” conceptualised by Steve Erickson. Diana described it as “Miami Vice meets Grand Theft Auto,” complete with sleek, Bond-esque aesthetics, calling it a “very cool video that is highly, highly recommended.”

Wrapping up, Diana teased future collaborations—hinting at one in the works with Jon Campbell—and encouraged fans to follow the band on social media and visit thelastarcade.net for merch and updates.
